High quality and hard wearing flooring solutions

In kitchens we prefer to use a floor that is hard wearing, resistant to scratching, easy to clean & waterproof. For this reason we normally advice against Laminate or real wood (engineered or solid) flooring. Often the chosen floor will extend into any open plan room & Hall to the front door.

We recommend using either High Quality Vinyl or Porcelain & Quartz stone floors

Moduleo High Quality Vinyl Flooring

The main advantages of Moduleo are not only its hard wearing & waterproof qualities, but also the warm under foot feel that stone floors cannot give. Often underfloor heating is not required for this reason. Visit the Moduleo website to view this product in more detail. You will see it is used in many large commercial environments, testament to its hard wearing qualities.

Whether looking for a wood or tiled look, you have to literary crawl on the floor to see that this is not a real stone or wood. Expect to pay £60 – £90 per M2 for the supply & fitting. Moduleo costs will depend on the sub-base & preperation required & amount of visits required to level floor perfectly. Look through our case studies where you can see how good these floors look.

Porcelain & Quartz stone floors

The 2nd most popular option for kitchen flooring are Porcelain & Quartz stone floors with under floor heating. Ceramic floors are not recommended as we feel ceramic is more liable to crack. You can also compliment your kitchen by combining Quartz worktops with a matching, or similar, Quartz floor tile, see this case study for an example of this.

This look can complement the unfussy, contemporary look that is so in vogue. You can expect to pay £90 – 120 per M2 for supply & fitting of quartz flooring in most cases. Take a look at our worktops section for more details about quartz worktops and view our case studies to see examples of our work.
